About Dr. Rafaey
Dr. Wania Rafaey is working as a Senior Registrar–Endocrinology in the department of Endocrinology, SIDER (Sakina Institute of Diabetes and Endocrine Research).
Dr. Rafaey earned her medical degree (MBBS) from King Edward Medical University, Lahore in 2013. She completed residency in Internal medicine from Liaquat National Hospital Karachi in 2021 and passed FCPS (Medicine) from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2021. She completed MRCP (UK) in 2024. She has also passed all three USMLE exams and earned MD. (USA) in 2024.
Dr. Wania Rafaey completed fellowship in Endocrinology from Shaukat Khanum Cancer Memorial Hospital and Research Centre. It is one of the few JCI Accredited, prestigious institutions of Pakistan. She passed FCPS (Endocrinology) from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in 2025.
Dr. Wania has more than 8 years of clinical experience in the field of Medicine. She got distinction in Internal Medicine during medical school. She also worked as Chief Resident during Internal Medicine residency. She is executive member of Pakistan Endocrine Society.
Dr. Wania has been actively participating in research activities. Her areas of interests are Endocrine cancers including Thyroid cancers and Reproductive endocrinology. She has presented clinical cases in both National and International conferences.

Dr. Wania’s clinical practice involves Diabetes and variety of Endocrine and metabolic disorders including Obesity and metabolic syndrome, Type 1 and 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, wide entity of thyroid diseases, pituitary tumors, various adrenal diseases, polycystic ovarian syndrome and various endocrine causes related to fertility. As a clinician investigator, she focuses on integrating multimodality approaches in management of thyroid cancer and evaluating novel strategies in the clinic.
Obesity and metabolic syndrome, endocrine cancers including thyroid cancer and new advancement in the management of diabetes.
