Hashmat Effendi Burn and Plastic Surgery Center
Our plastic surgery center is dedicated to reconstructing physical, facial, and body defects due to birth disorders, burns, trauma, breast cancer, and other diseases. We also perform aesthetic procedures for our patients to alter and enhance the appearance of certain areas through cosmetic surgery.
We take pride in being equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technologies used in reconstructing people with breast cancer, implants, and other aesthetic procedures performed by our internationally trained surgeons.
The Hashmat Effendi Burn & Plastic Surgery Department (HEB&PSD) is functioning since 2018, providing facilities for the whole spectrum of Plastic Surgery, Burns and Cosmetic Surgery.
Led by a team of highly experienced doctors, HEB&PSD serves as the center of excellence for plastic surgeries in terms of paediatric burns, cleft surgery and cosmetic surgery.
HEB&PSD has so far operated more than 900 cases, including Free Flap Surgeries, major reconstructions and complex Craniofacial Deformities. The department has at its disposal state-of-the-art technology and latest microscope along with dedicated Paediatric HDU/ICU equipped with latest ventilator and monitors.
The first case of Vaginal Reconstruction and Ear Reconstruction were also performed at Shalamar Hospital. The department also collaborates with General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, ENT surgery and Paediatrics to perform major flap surgeries. Last year, HEB&PSD recommended five patients for treatment to USA for major surgeries and prosthetic application. HEB&PSD has recently performed the first breast reconstruction flap in conjunction with general surgery. The major cosmetic surgery cases include Facelift, Rhinoplasty, Tummy Tuck, Fat grafting and Liposuction.
