Shalamar Hospital had the honor of hosting the Society of Surgeons Pakistan, Lahore Chapter’s final monthly meeting of 2024. This collaborative event, held in conjunction with the Pakistan Endocrine Thyroid Surgeons Association and the American College of Surgeons, Pakistan Chapter, showcased cutting-edge surgical advancements.

The meeting featured a compelling series of complex and thought-provoking case presentations, highlighting innovation and expertise across a range of surgical specialties.  Topics included the management of a challenging stone burden in a solitary functioning kidney, insights into the “Hidden Menace: Extra-Adrenal Pheochromocytoma,” the crucial intersection of genetics and cancer in clinical surgery, advanced laparoscopic techniques for rectal prolapse and thyroid surgeries, and breakthroughs in bariatric surgery outcomes, limb salvage surgery, and rare pediatric cases.
