Dr. Shaoib Zubairi is a compassionate and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a remarkable track record of delivering high-quality care to patients spanning all age groups. As a dedicated Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr Zubairi’s clinical services and interests are multifaceted and focused on comprehensive patient care. He actively engages in the pre and post-operative care of Head & Neck cancer patients, while also participating in various surgical procedures at different training levels. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in conducting departmental audits on a regular basis to enhance and monitor healthcare standards, aligning with JCIA activities. He prioritizes promoting awareness of Oral Cancer and its prevention through live sessions and journal clubs.

The research interests of the Maxillofacial Surgeon primarily revolve around three key areas. First, the assessment of outcomes of temporomandibular joint arthrocentesis in the treatment of internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint, which seeks to enhance our understanding of this therapeutic approach. Second, the examination of the frequency of post-operative complications after functional and selective neck dissection, particularly in previously untreated patients with oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma, with the aim of improving patient care in this critical domain. Lastly, a focus on the comparison of outcomes in immediate versus delayed management of patients with gunshot injuries, through a prospective study conducted in a tertiary care hospital.
